Philosophy of Service

A Masterpiece Remodeling philosophy is simple, "treat every project as if it were in my home". Experience, more than sixteen years, listening to our clients, learning from our mistakes and always striving to be perfect has enabled A Masterpiece Remodeling to grow and better serve clients in all phases of a remodeling and renovating project, design through completion. No project is considered complete until the homeowners are satisfied. Satisfaction is guaranteed!

Meet Your Remodeling Team

Setting A Masterpiece Remodeling apart from the others is our Team. Each project has its own working lead coordinating all phases and ensuring consistent communication with homeowners. Your lead will be on site daily, have the ability to answer your questions and keep you updated on progress.

Todd Fagan - Owner/President
Born in Lancaster County, PA., Todd has been in the building and remodeling industry for more than 22 years. In 1980 he graduated from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology with certification of Master Carpenter. Upon arriving in Atlanta, in the spring of 1982, he worked with the Xerox corporation in customer service.

Todd started A Masterpiece Remodeling, Inc. in 1989, after he and his wife realized that his true passion was building and completing remodeling projects. He takes great pride in every project A Masterpiece Remodeling, Inc. produces. He is a hands on owner who visits every project on a regular basis and is always available for clients.

Todd lives in Grayson with his wife Bridget and his two children, Ashlyn and Avery. In his free time, he loves to spend time in the North Georgia mountains, hunting and water skiing.

Sue Kalkstein - Design and Drafting
Born in New York and arrived in Atlanta, via California, in the late 1970’s, Sue graduated, cum laude, from Georgia State University in 1982, receiving a BVA, Bachelor of Visual Arts. In her junior year she found structure, architectural design, not furnishings, interior design, fed her creativity, and she followed that path, with certification from NKBA in 1995 and being licensed, in 1996, by the state. Interning, with a remodeling company, her senior year, lead to employment, upon graduation, for 14 years.

Sue joined A Masterpiece Remodeling, Inc. in February 1996, as a result of a tree falling on her house. Her design capabilities range from a custom mantle, matching the client’s stickly furniture, to entire second story additions and everything in between. Sue loves the challenge of older homes, fulfilling her client’s needs while maintaining the aesthetics and architectural integrity of the home or balancing function, safety and aesthetics in designing baths and kitchens. She believes her creativity, design ability, is a gift and expresses gratitude for a career she loves.

Sue lives in a 1930’s house in Virginia-Highland with her Labrador retrievers. When not working, she enjoys being with friends, walking and reading. Her love of animals and compassion for people has led to her involvement with Zoo Atlanta, PALS, Pets are Loving Support, CHRIS Homes and the Rainbow House.

Lisa Malcom - Office Manager
Moved to Atlanta from Indiana in the late 1970’s. Prior to joining A Masterpiece Remodeling, Inc., in 1996, she was employed by the IRS. If asked, Lisa will tell you she is “just the office manager”, when in reality she is so much more. She ensures that A Masterpiece Remodeling, Inc. runs smoothly on a daily basis and is responsible for accounting, payroll and is the “Human Resource” contact for all employees.

Lisa lives in Snellville with her husband, daughters, and most recent family member, Sadie, her Bishon Friese. Over the years she has worked at the Dance Studio where her daughters attended and is also a “hands on Mom” at her daughters schools and cheerleading events.

Lisa maintains a low profile at A Masterpiece Remodeling, Inc., however her co-workers insist she is the “heart” of the company.
